A third person was arrested in connection with the deaths of a pregnant teenager and her boyfriend in San Antonio. Myrta Romanos, believed to be the stepmother of the alleged killer, was charged with tampering with evidence, abusing a corpse, and altering or concealing a human corpse. Christopher Preciado, 19, faces capital murder charges, while his father, Ramon Preciado, 53, was charged with abusing a corpse.

Savanah Soto, 18, and Matthew Guerra, 22, were found dead in Guerra’s car in a parking lot after Christmas. Both had been shot in the head. Romanos, seen on security footage the night of the murder, was implicated in the crime. Video showed individuals in a dark Chevrolet Silverado and Guerra’s Kia, talking before driving away. Romanos confessed the gun used in the murders belonged to her.

The police had been searching for a third suspect, delaying the arrest until they gathered enough evidence. Romanos, 47, faced reporters’ questions as she was escorted into custody, but it’s unclear if she has legal representation. Christopher Preciado also faces charges of corpse abuse and altering evidence, while Ramon Preciado faces additional charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
